Bravura Pass Language Support
Bravura Pass can communicate with users, on-screen and in e-mails, in their native languages.
Bravura Security Fabric includes support for multiple languages on each logical instance of the software. For example, the 11.1.3 release of Bravura Pass includes support for 21 languages. Of these 21, the following are considered "core languages" and customers may deploy any 5 of them at no additional cost.
- English (en-us)
- French (fr-fr)
- Spanish (es-es)
- Portuguese (Brazil) (pt-br)
- German (de-de)
- Japanese (ja-jp)
- Chinese (simplified) (zh-cn)
The entire Bravura Security Fabric user interface supports internationalization. Input and output text are all Unicode (UTF-8) and there is support for both left-to-right and right-to-left text display. The following are considered "core languages" and customers may deploy any 5 of them at no additional cost.
- English (en-us)
- French (fr-fr)
- Spanish (es-es)
- Portuguese (Brazil) (pt-br)
- German (de-de)
- Japanese (ja-jp)
- Chinese (simplified) (zh-cn)
Additional languages are easy to add.
There are three options for Bravura Security customers to implement non-core languages in their Bravura Security Fabric deployment:
- Purchase a language pack from Bravura Security at USD 3,500/language.
- Use one of the two translation UIs built into the software to create and/or edit a language translation.
- Hire a third-party translator to use one of the two above UIs, possibly exposing the relevant URLs to the public Internet, where the translator can access them.
Bravura Security Fabric includes two mechanisms for user interface language translation. The first is used for bulk editing of text, to translate it from English into a given language. With this UI, English text is shown in one column and text in the desired language is edited in another column. A second user interface allows a translator to modify the language text of the UI in the context of actually using the application. Hold down the Ctrl key, click on a UI element in a live login session and modify the text in a pop-up window.
Note that technical documentation, intended primarily for the installer and administrator, is currently offered only in English - it is about 3,000 pages and is consequently not economical to localize.
Note: Language pack availability may vary from release to release. For more information about language packs contact your Bravura Security Account Representative.
